News July 2024

Hi Everyone

A great workshop on Monday 8th July.  A range of interesting Matariki paintings. See them on the AWS Facebook page.

Marina gave a well thought out workshop on painting waves. Thank you Marina. I’m sure everyone enjoyed it.

The AGM is coming up in September.  Adeline is resigning as secretary, Pauline thanked her for her work.  Please give some thought to putting your name forward for secretary or the committee... We have a great group doing lots of things watercolour, let’s keep it going and improving year by year.

Please remember to fill in the membership forms and pay the watercolour society the yearly fee of $40. 5 people who have filled in the membership form haven’t paid. There is one person has paid but not filled out the form.

Next month’s meeting is on Monday 12th August.  The challenge is “out of the fog”.

Elise De Silva will be demonstrating painting waves, boats and distance. There is a small charge of $10 per person as we have to pay her fee. So don’t forget your $10.

Plein Air this month is at Helensville on Saturday 27th.  Meet at the railway station, which is on the northern end of the town, at 10am.  There are lots of interesting things to paint in Helensville.
