Monthly Workshop

An Invitation

Please join us for our upcoming monthly watercolour painting workshop in Glenfield, Auckland. Come along and bring your painting based on the list of monthly painting challenges. If you are unable to attend, you can email a copy of your work for everyone to enjoy. The meeting is a great opportunity to see everyone's unique interpretation of the subject.

Experienced members will provide critiques of the artworks, offering helpful and encouraging feedback.

There is a refreshment break for you to chat with fellow painters before taking part in a hands-on workshop.

We look forward to seeing you and your artwork at the next meeting.

Glenfield War Memorial Hall, Glenfield Auckland on the 2nd Monday of each month. 12.30 to 3pm.

Plein Air

“For me painting on the streets was my main turning point in my career. I give you an analogy of sports cars-  in the studio I was driving a Fiat 600. When I went to paint on the streets, I jumped into a Formula One car, as far as catching up and learning and becoming an artist.”

Alvaro Castagnet

Watercolour is ideal for open air painting. It's a chance to practice spontaneity and speed. You will need an easel, paints with a tray for mixing, a water bottle, a cloth, brushes and maybe a seat. Remember the idea is to travel light.

Check out our programme and come along. You may love it.

The sessions are held around Auckland with locations carefully decided on to provide a wide range of subject matter.

Meet up at 10am last Saturday of the month. There is an enthusiastic group of regulars. All levels of experience are welcome.

then you’re in trouble."
